It has been a roller coaster ride for Mr Saravana Kumar over the past few years. Switching over from the medical profession, where he served as a hospital manager, to being the founder of the first-of-its-kind fresh seafood and meat store in Tiruchi, it has been nothing but his passion that has taken him thus far.
Founder of Younger Cuts, a chain of 3 branches of seafood and meat store in Tiruchi, Mr Saravana Kumar was inspired by the organised, professional service at a store in Hyderabad where he worked. It prompted him to think about why cannot such models be replicated in Tiruchi. After much thought and careful planning, Mr Saravana Kumar decided to switch his career.
Thus was born the first branch of Younger Cuts in November 2021 on K.K. Nagar Airport Wireless Road. The novel initiative has been met with an overwhelming response from the people of Tiruchiand since then, he has opened two more branches in Thennur, Thillai Nagar, and Edamalaipatti Puthur.
Younger Cuts has established with the objective of fresh catch of fish directly from fishermen of Tuticorin and Pamban, chicken from poultry and meat from farmers so that people are able to buy them as fresh as possible. Mr Saravana Kumar sums up Younger Cuts’ USP in 2 simple reasons: fresh catch and fine cuts.
The third and equally important reason for their popularity is that seafood and meat are sold in a professional atmosphere but at market rates. Younger Cuts aims to have 75 branches and franchisees all over Tamil Nadu by 2030. They also have a restaurant only in the evenings and their crab soup for just Rs. 5 is a rage among people across ages.
