Vivek Bairy is a highly accomplished Lead Infrastructure Engineer with over 10 years of extensive industry experience in the planning, handling, and execution of network infrastructure projects.  His expertise is underscored by his possession of several key certifications, including CCNP Enterprise, Cisco Certified Specialist in Enterprise Core & Wireless, ECSE-3066, AWS Solution Architect Associate & Advanced Networking - Specialty, Aviatrix Multi-Cloud Network Associate, and Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).   

Throughout his career, Vivek has demonstrated a strong capability in designing and implementing security rules within Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for various critical functions.  These include BYOD, CWA, 802.1X, VPN connections, TACACS, profiling, Passive ID, PxGrid, posture, MFA, and AD integration, showcasing his comprehensive understanding of network access control and security frameworks.   

Vivek possesses significant hands-on experience with a wide range of Cisco technologies, including Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.  He is adept at testing Cisco routers and switches in laboratory environments and deploying them effectively in live production settings.  His experience extends to designing and assisting in the deployment of enterprise-wide Remote Access VPN solutions with High Availability, utilizing Cisco AnyConnect VPN over Cisco FirePower appliances.   

His proficiency also includes troubleshooting DNS, DHCP, and IP conflict issues, demonstrating his ability to maintain network stability and resolve critical connectivity problems.  Vivek has a strong working knowledge of Cisco Nexus Switches and Virtual Port Channel configurations, as well as implementing and troubleshooting complex Layer 2 technologies such as VLAN Trunks, VTP, Ether Channel, STP, RSTP, and MST.  He is also experienced in implementing HSRP and VRRP for Default Gateway Redundancy.   

Vivek's expertise extends to configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting Cisco's ASA 5500/PIX security appliances, managing failover DMZ zoning, and configuring VLANs/routing/NAT with firewalls.  He has hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/IOS-XR/NX-OS for configuration and troubleshooting of routing protocols, including MP-BGP, OSPF, LDP, EIGRP, RIP, BGP v4, and MPLS.   

In addition to his Cisco expertise, Vivek has deployed and managed Aruba ClearPass NAC solutions and Wireless Networks with Cisco AireOS and IOS XE Controllers, Meraki MX100 and MX450, and Aruba Controllers, integrating them with Cisco ISE as a NAC solution.  He also has hands-on experience with Cisco Prime, DNA Center (Analytics and Assurance), and Cisco DNA Spaces, and is skilled in WLAN Site Survey, Installation, and Maintenance, including designing wireless heatmaps for AP placements using Ekahau Pro.   

Beyond his corporate achievements, Vivek actively contributes to the broader tech community. As a senior member of IEEE and a fellow at IETE, he engages in peer reviews and knowledge sharing to advance the field. He also serves as a judge at the Bintelligence Awards, where he evaluates innovations across the technology sector, reinforcing his standing as a thought leader.

Vivek also possesses knowledge of WAN Optimization Technology (Riverbed), and is proficient in preparing technical documentation and presentations using Microsoft VISIO/Office.  He is experienced in Disaster Recovery planning and implementation and adept at addressing identified security vulnerabilities.  His scripting skills include Python and Ansible.   

Academically, Vivek holds a Master's degree in CIS: Networking from New England College, NH, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Osmania University, India.
