The Flour Works is the brainchild of Chef Meeta Makhecha, one of Pune’s few women restaurateurs who are contributed to the culinary legacy of the city. Born and raised in Pune, Meeta Makhecha signed up for the 18month chef training course at California Culinary Academy during her time in San Francisco. She also worked at reputed fine dining establishments in San Francisco before heading back to India. It was during this period that she learned the craft of chocolate making from none other than Michael Recchiuti. Upon returning to India, Chef Meeta consulted with renowned brands and in 2012 decided to open what is today known as The Flour Works.
