Hailing from a business family, Raja Arjun is a fourth generation entrepreneur who has built a personal brand in the design,realty and construction sectors for over a decade. Raja Arjun has a degree in Architecture graduating from RV school of architecture amongst the top 50 in India and was awarded by the Council Of Architecture for his merits. He also holds a masters in strategic design thinking, graduating with top honors from the prestigious IE university; Spain. His particular approach of design and enterprise strategy applied to brands, spaces and objects as a medium has helped companies like Sony, Tata, Reliance, Hindustan unilever to innovate and grow. He has delivered projects worth a cumulative value of over Rs.2,500 crores (Apx.300 Million $) for his clients.
A few years ago Raja recognised that he really enjoys problem solving through creative thinking and started focusing on adopting design thinking as an operative discipline. He belives in cross pollination and cocreation; propagating the importance of timely innovation to form disruptive business models. His discribes himself as an inquisitive and curious entreprenuer who enjoys studing businesses. This curiosity led him into the path of value investing; which has helped him learn about how organisations fucntion, their moats which make them unique and the people behind the companies we know. Currently serving as a founder of Brand New, Raja Arjun is blurring the lines between technology and design.
Brandnew combines Mr.Raja’s passions into a unique business model to solve ‘growth’ as a problem for D2C brands. While consulting for big retailers, Raja noticed that distribution is a problem to solve for large and small brands. However, distribution in retail is a capital intensive problem to solve and thus it is particularly difficult for micro brands / D2C brands. BrandNew is a platform which provides a self-serve omnichannel ecosystem which helps D2C brands grow on their own terms. The platform provides new online and offline distribution channels for D2C brands along with a growing networks of suppliers who can ease the operational challenges of D2C brands. The company sells more than 35,000 products online and is currently available in more than 10 test locations.
