Pooja Sethiya, 28 years old. She started her career as a makeup artist in 2013. She has 8 years of experience as a professional makeup artist. As a young child, she was always enchanted by the world of fashion & beauty. While my peers were busy playing with toys, she was more likely to be found dressing up, applying my Moms makeup, reading glossy magazines, and now seeing my name in those magazines is like a dream come true. As the years went by, my love for fashion & beauty grew deeper and I finally decided that this is all she wanted to do throughout my life. Nothing in life makes me happier than doing makeup. And here she is constantly improving her skills, refreshing her ideas, staying updated with the makeup industry, and showing people that beauty lies within each one of them. She has worked on more than 1000 faces by now. When she started she really didn’t know how vast this industry is for a long time she did only bridal makeup and she made a name for herself in this industry, with growing popularity for my work, actors/models started approaching me to collaborate with them.
She has worked with a few established people in the industry. And with passing years when my interest grew deeper, I realized there’s so much more to learn. She was certified by various renowned artists in India and also studied a diploma course in Makeup from Cinema Makeup School, Los Angeles. Specialize in Beauty, bridal, character, Prosthetics, and SFX makeup. She believes a perfectionist and when given a certain job I do 100 percent justice to it. She can create injuries that look real and that’s because of my observation skills. My inspiration generally comes from people around me. She observes every passing person from a homeless person to an old man, these are the people who help you create characters that look real. She has written beauty-related content for magazines like Vogue, Elle, Femina, and times of India. She has been featured on various platforms for my diversity in work. In my so many years of experience, she feels a lot of people have trouble working with deeper skin tones but she is very well versed with every skin type. It’s very important to understand the undertone of every skin you work on. To upgrade her skills she also learned sketching portraits which helps me understand the anatomy of the human face. She has worked with famous people like Radhika Chaudhari, Sasha Jairam, Saad khan, Aishwarya Prasad, Dhruva Sarja, Danish Sait. She worked for a regional television channel for a year and has been interviewed by a radio show called big FM.
