Nalanda Educational Institutions, the bastion of excellence and the temple of learning has its roots in the conscientious and tireless efforts of its founder Late Sri Manthena Suryanarayana Raju who had established the school “Good Samaritan High School”. In 1987, he established Nalanda Junior College (Co-ed), next, Nalanda Junior College for Girls in 1994, and later, two schools, under the name of Nalanda Vidya Bhavan in Motinagar and S.R. Nagar, Hyderabad. Finally, all these schools and colleges were brought together under the banner of Nalanda Educational Institutions. Sri. Manthena Suryanarayana Raju received the “Son of India” (1999—2000) award for his passionate and selfless contribution to the world of academics.
This academic legacy is now, under the auspices of his son, and grandson (Mr. M. Srinivasa Raja and Mr. M. Suryanarayana Kashayup Varma, respectively). Presently, Mr. M. Suryanarayana Kashayup Varma is the Director of Nalanda Educational Institutions.
