4d ….a young firm of thirteen years …. with the goal of providing imaginative architectural solutions within the economic and developmental constraints of all clients.
Team 4d is experienced in handling large-scale complex government projects encompassing a wide range of activities from Architectural, Civil Works, and Landscaping to Project Management Consultancy of residential and commercial projects.
The firm encourages a process involving the close collaboration of the client, architect, and builder so that each project benefits from the participation and strengths of each team member.
While the design sensibilities are theoretically based, 4d understands that no design can be successful without integrating that with workable on-ground technical solutions and the organizational capabilities necessary to manage the phases of design and construction.
4d maintains this approach with all of its projects, regardless of scale or budget.
What brings them to this forum are two of the most beautiful projects of the many government projects they did…which need mention….1crore square feet of residential for the naval forces at dolphin hill, Visakhapatnam, innovatively planned intermingling the design with natural contours to get the best advantage of sea view and landscapes around, finally giving government houses the resort-like feel.
Another being one of a kind is the Army Institute of Management, Kolkata, an educational institution campus of 1.6lac square feet with the form follows function principle. A campus housing a 5th-floor auditorium with world-class amenities, hostels, cafeterias, and infirmary, was challenged in making.
Step by step 4d slowly overcame all its hindrances and today has some class apart projects up their sleeve with special mention even from the defense minister.
Their goal remains to produce detailed, design-oriented work and added value for their clients and collaborative partners by remaining focused on the architectural vision that makes team 4d both distinctive and successful.
