Mr. Hemant Kumar is a ‘Corporate Leader’ turned ‘New Channel Incubator’ cum Strategist, Mentor & expert Business Management leader. Currently he heads one of the fastest growing  variable channel in life insurance industry based out of Pune. He is responsible for building a 100% traditional variable channel by creating a robust network of distributors & consultants in major cities of India where basic agency vertical of Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Co. already existed with aim to increase profitability from bigger markets.

An alumnus of India’s premier business school, NMIMS - Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies – Mumbai, Mr Hemant Kumar has three Master Degrees in Business Marketing, Banking and Finance. Additionally, Mr. Kumar has PG Diplomas to his credit in International Business. He also holds Bachelor degree in Chemistry Hons. Mr. Kumar joined BALIC in Pune as a Head – Virtual Sales Office to co-create the architecture of variable opportunity in Life Insurance sector.

In his corporate avatar, he has held a leadership position in Strategy, Sales and Project Management and has also worked as a transformation expert. His areas of expertise include incubate newer opportunities, quality management & business excellence. He is having overall corporate working experience of 26 years & in that he is associated with Life Insurance Industry for last 20 years. In this duration he rose from basic Sales management role to managing Branch, Location, Region, Zone & currently heading one of the fastest growing variable channel in life insurance sector. Mr. Kumar has served at different capacities in Sales functions and executed various upgradation projects under transformation campaign. As the Project Manager, he has the experience of implementation of a sales channel, variable in nature. He also worked in the areas of Business Excellence across Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance.

As a Channel Head, he has successfully spearheaded the efforts of establishing Variable Channel in challenging condition of Covid during 20-21 culminating in RPD becoming one of the fastest growing variable channel in life insurance sector. He was appointed as the Strategic Head for Insurance Manager Channel, however while being in strategic role and due to his passionately managing the overall project, he was entrusted with the responsibility of establishing another variable channel in agency format who will only operate on traditional products. Mr. Kumar likes to play badminton read books or articles on performance improvement/ management.
