Gwendolen Savina Noronha - Founder, MetaMind

Mumbai, India
2021

A powerhouse of talent, ideas, creativity, and most of all responsibility. Every conversation with her will always be interesting, humorous, and pumped with information. She is warm, caring, empathetic, sporty, and very responsible towards everything around her. Perfect beauty with brain combination. At the young age of 32, she already has a long-standing experience of 15 years in the field of business and education. An owner of multiple ventures and franchise chains

globally, she is going strong and successful with consistency.

Her journey till now has been an inspiration and that is the main reason for her popularity. She is extremely focused,

practical, and clear about her goals. She believes that hard work is all that should matter. In her own words, “I have goals. I am always in an ebullient mood while working. I know how to work hard, honestly, and sincerely and in a  smart way towards them, being concerned about any repercussions my journey can bring to the people around me, the society, and myself and being least concerned about the results it will yield. I believe that if  I am destined to receive a positive outcome, I will so I do not worry about it. What I worry about is if I am doing my bit and doing it well enough”.

One of the firms founded by her 14 years ago is MetaMind (formerly known as CIA Pvt. Ltd.). MetaMind offers its students activities like speed reading, mental calculations, memorization, reading, comprehension, and a lot more- a complete brain gym spot!

MetaMind debuted in the year 2012 at “Memoriad”- the largest mental games world championship,  representing India with a team of 7 contestants who in total bagged 33 medals in this sport. Gwendolen was later bestowed by the founder of Memoriad, Mr. Melik Duyar as the chairperson for Memoriad (Mind Sports  Olympic Federation) for India. Memoriad has multiple member-countries who participate in the sport regularly. She made the youngest chairperson in the world, the first woman to be on board of such a large mind sports community and the first and youngest woman to be crowned as the world’s best coach in mental calculations at the Mental Calculations World Cup in Germany in 2014, during which her coached team won the  World Cup. MetaMind’s trained contestants hold a total of 14 world records in the field, some of which are published in the Guinness Book of World Records and the Alternative Book of Records. Gwendolen has an eidetic memory for communication and realized it at a much later age. To enhance it and constantly put it to the test, she decided to study literature simultaneously while working. Her methods at solving square roots mentally are one of the most curious topics in the industry as to date it has been difficult to defeat the world records set by her contestants. She recently scored a 98% in her finals achieving her literature degree at university. She has completed her master’s in business administration, in English Literature along with Social Anthropology from Oxford University and is a private pilot licensee for private planes.  Her work in the field of education, mental health, and mind sports has often been celebrated in interviews by national and international media. She is often invited by colleges, universities, and organizations for their festivals and as a key-note speaker. Gwendolen has started a social awareness initiative titled, “Educate-to Educate”. It is an initiative program that helps students, and young minds cater to their mental health. It is under the same initiative that over 2500 students across the globe have received a reading program software titled “MeFlick”, worth $50 each for free. She is about to stage the largest reading platform for students in the next few months where an outreach will be conducted under this initiative to offer the MeFlick software to a  minimum of 200,000 students as sponsorship to encourage reading and to help them improve on the methods and habits of the same. Nowadays, children and the youth suffer from anxiety and depression and it has become relevant to help them overcome these conditions by showing them how to live a healthy life and provide them a  platform to begin and experience it. On the platform of MeFlick, users are engrossed in various reading activities and games that stimulate the brain. Quoting her, “I have spoken on several platforms about mental health awareness, have shown people how they can train themselves to stay mentally healthy but sometimes,  just doing the talking won't practically help. I decided to take it to the next level where I can get people to factually practice and stay mentally healthy by being part of the program of MeFlick and Educate-to-Educate ensures that this is achieved by providing the opportunity to everyone”. Gwendolen is a perfect example of how one can achieve and be unstoppable while being responsible.
