Gautham Jayashanker is a first-generation Entrepreneur having founded two successful ventures, live media entertainment (in the field of event management) and Olive Marketing (in the field of trading).

His latest venture Olive Energy (now known as Udjan Energy Pvt. Ltd) has done extensive research in the vertical of hydrogen used as an alternate form of energy and has a Patent on integrated energy systems. This is a system that acts as a substitute for fuel in the cooking, transportation, and electricity sector.

This project on integrated energy system was recognized by the Government of Karnataka and received winner award in ELEVATE-100 a startup Karnataka initiative. This project received extensive press coverage for its breakthrough (water-based) Hydrogen cooking system.

This generated vast interest from many Universities in India to pursue the research and he has signed an MOU with BMS College of Engineering in Bangalore and a few CSIR labs across India.
