While exploring the root causes, Rishabh identified magnesium deficiency as a key factor affecting sleep. However, existing solutions were largely limited to oral supplements, prompting him to explore alternative approaches. This led to the discovery of topical magnesium applications, a globally emerging trend supported by research indicating better absorption.

What began as a personal experiment soon evolved into a powerful business idea.

Eight Roots developed a magnesium-based body lotion, focusing on topical application for improved effectiveness and ease of use. The turning point came when the founders identified a gap in safe sleep solutions for children. This insight led to the creation of their flagship product the Kids Bedtime Lotion, which quickly became a cornerstone of the brand’s growth.

Within just a few months of launch, the brand achieved significant traction, reaching over 5,000 customers across India and Singapore through a direct-to-consumer model via its website and Amazon.
