A renowned Gynaecologist, a brilliant orator, and an able organizer, Dr. Archana has achieved multi-dimensional excellence in the professional and social arena at a very young age.  One of the best Gynaecologists of Hyderabad city, Dr. Archana is associated with Yashoda Hospital. Her surgical skills are admired by her colleagues and her medical management is endorsed by smiles on the faces of thousands of patients who interact with her. Having carried out more than 5000 surgeries, many of them with rare complications, she has gained mastery in High-risk pregnancy care. She is skillful in handling difficult circumstances, particularly in surgical management, and has been quick in taking decisions and helping and guiding others whenever the situation demanded. She always exercises all options even having the remotest possibility of success rather than raising her hand in despair.

Having acquired sophisticated skills in Laparoscopic surgery, she has become the torchbearer for using advanced technology for the benefit of women’s healthcare.

The knowledge and experience acquired by her are getting disseminated to thousands of upcoming doctors whom she addresses in various conferences and seminars. She has been invited as faculty in almost all the national-level conferences of AICOG and international conferences organized in Dubai, Hyderabad, Rio de Janerio, etc. She has presented about 50 papers in these seminars and won the best paper award thrice in a row. She has also published numerous papers in various journals on topics ranging from adolescent health problems to maternal care,, and menopause.

Care for the poor has been the motto of her life. In spite of getting good opportunities in private sector hospitals, she continues to work with Govt wherein her own words she gets maximum satisfaction out of her work. During the Covid pandemic also did not stop work even for a single day despite coming in close contact with so many potential covid positive cases.

She had been a brilliant student and she completed her MBBS with a gold medal from S S Medical college Rewa followed by her post-graduate training at the prestigious Madras Medical College Chennai. She obtained her DNB in Gynecology and became a Fellow of the Indian College of Gynecologists. She went through rigorous training in Ultrasonography, Daycare laparoscopic surgery, and obtained a Diploma in Reproductive medicine from Kiel school of Reproductive Medicine Germany.

Due to her organizing skills and excellent interpersonal relationship, she has been elected Secretary of Hyderabad Chapter of Obstetric and Gynaecological society. This society represents more than 1000 Gynaecologists. Due to her in-depth knowledge in the subject of Gynaecology, she has been on the scientific committee of national and international conferences where her role was to select research papers for presentation to the national audience.

Adding to her roles she is also Professor of Gynaecology at Government medical college. She is one of the most popular teachers who is loved and admired by her students.              

A popular figure in the department, in hospital, among the colleagues, among the students, and above all among the patients, she believes in “Duty first” for the care of poor patients, for skilling doctors, and for teaching Medical students.
