Dev Aditya is a social entrepreneur and changemaker who is solving the world's employability gap using innovative teaching and learning techniques and artificial intelligence. His work currently spans 8 countries internationally, which began in India just over a year and a half ago, and is directly up-skilling 25,000 learners in India alone. Apart from empowering unserved learners in India, Dev Aditya works with governments in India, Afghanistan, several international humanitarian organizations, and UN camps through his social education firm OtermansInstitute. Through his work, he is making the unserved populations of India and 7other countries, from Lebanon to Bangladesh, more employable. Dev Aditya has received several national and international awards for his work which include an award from the UK Prime Minister in January 2021, being named as a Global Young Innovator under 30 by Innovate UK, Alumni of the Year of Brunel University London 2020, The Bengal's Pride Award at the UK parliament in2018, Innovation in Education Award at the Global Leaders' Summit in Kolkata in2019, and others. Dev Aditya from Kolkata completed his schooling at St Paul’sSchool Darjeeling before going to study law at Brunel University London. He believes his experiences there shaped his life’s journey. Even as a student of Brunel University London, Dev Aditya became involved with social entrepreneurship and community work for which he won national campaign awards, and was also elected the Vice President of its StudentUnion while also sitting in the University's Senate and Council. He raised over4 crores for community projects as a student, and following this, he set upOtermans Institute to serve learners in his country and globally. Today, apart from his existing training work, Dev Aditya is using Artificial Intelligence to empower learners who have no access to traditional teachers or online learning –especially highlighted by the pandemic and wars in the Middle East. He built an ‘artificial intelligence-driven virtual teacher’ who is currently empowering students in UN camps in Iraq and is set to come to rural India in 2021. His aim is to up-skill 750 million learners globally by 2025.
