Colonel Rohit Dev (Retd.) is a young and very dynamic leader who has moved on from the Armed Forces, after an illustrious and exemplary career, in November 2018 and has joined Punjab Renewable Energy Systems Private Limited (PRESPL), as the Chief Operating Officer, in December 2018. Nicknamed ‘RDX’, in his outstanding military career of 24 years, he has been at the top of his profession, held all prestigious appointments and has had a detailed insight in the operations, logistics and supply chain management of a strategic field organisation in the Northern Command. As a Second-generation military officer, he has accomplished much and his desire to learn new and make forays into the unknown, emanate from his Out-of-the-Box thinking and high intuitive capabilities. He has been a pioneer in many operational and logistics headquarters while in the Army. His service involved dealing with HR, logistics, operations, varied instructional appointments and a United Nations Mission under Chapter 7 at Sierra Leone. In 2014 Floods, he made exceptional contributions in managing the flood relief of areas from Pattan to Naugam (Including Baramulla and Uri) in Kashmir, in ensuring routine logistics for more than 30,000 troops of Indian Army and Border Security Forces and most importantly, with such resource crunch, be able to complete 100 percent (First time in history of Northern Command) Winter Stocking for ice-capped terrain where troops are deployed. He has been awarded for his professional acumen in an Army Command level exercise. While in the Army, he has been contributing through his writings and talks as well. He has been the author of a White Paper on FICV (Futuristic Infantry Combat Vehicle); a project taken up by the Government under ‘Make in India’. He is a prolific writer & also an orator & avid Television debater in Indian Media, as a Veteran Defence Analyst & Security Expert.

His staff tenure: As Graded Staff Officer 1 in a prestigious Independent Mountain Brigade Group & Colonel Quartermaster in another prestigious Infantry Division deployed in Counter Insurgency area and two instructional tenures in prestigious institutions. He was Alumni of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and Deputy Commander of the only Arjun Brigade in the world. Field mission under UN Chapter 7 in UNAMSIL (United Nations Armed Mission in Sierra Leone) Today, he represents PRESPL in all forums and is contributing effectively towards this field of BioEnergy Sector in India. He has been an Invited Speaker and Key Member on Leadership Panel Discussion on topics related to Biomass Supply Chain Management and Bio-Energy Sector in India & in Global Summits. He was an Invited Speaker for Tokyo Summit in April 2019 and has been selected as an OCM for a Summit in Dubai in November 2019. As the Chief Operating Officer, he has enthused fresh ways of thinking and problem tackling while, also enabling the management with Team Building and process refinements. His charter of duties covers all components of the PRESPL business with many cross functions as well. He has the energy and flair to conceptualize projects and steer them well. He has the insight and prowess to deal with clients and suppliers and come up with divergent and yet amicable solutions; while his intention remains to optimize the business costs and above all create much robust and dynamic Integrated Business Models for the future. He has appetite, aptitude and attitude to learn more and will remain a long-term asset to PRESPL. His lady wife, Dr (Mrs) Aparna Dev is a homoeopath (B.H.M.S.) and currently, a Curriculum Incharge Head and Arts Teacher of a School in New Delhi. Their son, Master Janesh Dev, who is 13 years young, is pursuing studies in Class IX in New Delhi. His educational proficiencies are as follows: Having graduated from the National Defence Academy in 1994 with a Degree in B.A. from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi he also holds a Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) encompassing Higher Strategy, Operations and Logistics besides a plethora of military topics, Certification Diplomas in Management and HR from IIM, Indore and Guru Ahilya University, Indore respectively, Certification in NABET Accredited SHE Course conducted by CII, Art of Living Leadership Program from Bengaluru Centre, Mass Communication Certification from Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi etc.
