Barnona Basu is a high-impact marketing leader with the combined experience of 18 plus years of experience in creating and managing mega brands and alliances such as Tonact, Starpress, Lupenox, Ondero, Gluconorm, Ajaduo, and Telista. As the Sr. GM-Marketing & Therapy Head at Lupin Pharma, she has managed to build 1st 100 crore brand of Lupin, Tonact and managed to build and create Ondero, a 1st 50 crore brand in the first year and she managed to build a profitable business of 300 + crore for the brand named Gluconorm.
Under her visionary leadership, Lupin’s Glucornorm brand was honored with the “Leader in Anti-diabetic brand Award” at CPhi & P-MEC India 2018. Through her intense strategic planning, she has brought to life valuable patient support programs which has won many awards. For its patient centric initiative Lupin’s SAHAYAK Telista brand won “Innovation in Patient Awareness” award at UBM India’s 4th Edition of Packaging Awards and “Innovation in Packaging” award at CIMS India’s 8th Edition of Indian Pharma Expo & Business Excellence Awards 2019. Lupin’s SAHAYAK is the India’s first bilingual chatbot on hypertension which is endorsed by INDIAN SOCIETY OF HYPERTENSION. She formulated many plans and procedures which made Ajaduo the winner of ‘Emerging Brand in Diabetes’ at the 7th Annual India Pharma Awards 2019, CPHI, New Delhi.
She displayed paramount efforts in building new cardio-metabolic vertical of Lupin- “SYNOX” from the scratch and under her luminous leadership, SYNOX won many awards and accolades apart & business success. At CIMS Business Excellence Awards 2020, SYNOX was awarded with “Pharma Company of the Year for Innovative Marketing Practices” and received an award for “Marketing Campaign of the Year” and “Best Marketing Campaign in Pharma” at 19th Global Edition & 4th Indian Edition of WORLD LEADERSHIP CONGRESS and ET HEALTHWORLD INDIA PHARMAWORLD AWARD.
Under her unique collaborative leadership and able mentorship, team SYNOX have joined hands with Possible (DNA: Dietitian & Nutrition Assistance Program) and BD (RIIT: Right Insulin Injection Technique) to help diabetes patients understand the role of diet, nutrition and diet plan in management of blood glucose and help the patient to seamlessly start insulin therapy and facilitate connect with doctor & patient. Team SYNOX, as an academic partner managed to launch Indian Pharma’s 1st e-book by the name “Complications in Diabetes Mellitus: From bench to bench-side” on Amazon, a global selling platform.
Ms. Barnona Basu has been a classic dancer for 25 years which made her travel throughout the country and explore different cultures within the country. She practices the art of mindful living which she has learnt from her mother and daughter. The aesthetic blend of the two imaginative worlds, dance and chemistry gave her the experience of nurturing the Kaizen Way of Life and she believes in continuous improvement of working practices and personal efficiency.
