Ajay Kumar is the Head of Human Capital at Satya MicroCapital Ltd. A Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management (PGDPM) from Sambalpur University, Odisha, and a Diploma in Labour Law from NILEM, Chennai, Ajay brings with him, a rich background of nearly two decades of experiences in the areas of Recruitment & Training, Rewards & Recognitions, Manpower Planning, Performance Management, Employee Engagement and Statutory Compliances. Passionate and creative, he has transformed the way human resource is observed in any organisation and is a major reason why the department is referred to as Human Capital instead of Human Resource.
With a vision to transfigure SATYA into a people-centric organization, Ajay has consistently prioritized the well-being of its employees, making sure that everyone feels like they are a part of a family. He believes in adding a Human touch to the world of microfinance which is reflected in all the policies and procedures implemented at SATYA. Under his leadership, SATYA has been awarded with GPTW certification for the past two years in a row.
Ajay has always spearheaded the company’s HR-specific strategic goals. He has initiated a unique inhouse employee development program, Safal Sutra which aims at identifying the best field officers within the organization and provide them the much-needed skills set to excel for the next-level roles. Additionally, Ajay has focused on enhancing the company's work culture through team-building activities such as SATYA's Got Talent and many others employee engagement activities among with SATYA's Got Talent was recognized as the Best Talent Diversity and Culture Initiative at the Distinguished NBFC Awards 2021 organized by Banking & Frontiers Magazine. His invaluable contribution to human capital was recognized by the Microfinance Association Of Uttar Pradesh (UPMA) and conferred with the Best HC Head award for his outstanding contribution during COVID-19 pandemic in motivating staff and clients.
In recognition of his unwavering commitment and dedicated service to the organization, Ajay Kumar was awarded with the Navratna Award at Vihangham - SATYA's Annual Day Event, which is the highest honour bestowed upon any employee at SATYA. Ajay’s commitment and passion for the accomplishment of the company’s goal, combined with his synergistic approach is highly valued and appreciated by all. He dedicated himself to establishing an approachable HC department, which required significant effort and devotion. As a result, SATYA was able to establish a knowledgeable, well-informed, and overall supportive environment for its employees.
